Juli-May Welthagen
Since joining Thompson Cooper Lawyers in 2012, Juli-May has primarily been involved in representing the firm’s insurance industry clients in both litigated and non-litigated matters.
Juli-May is experienced in handling claims in the Local, District and Supreme Courts of New South Wales, the New South Wales Court of Appeal, the Dust Diseases Tribunal of New South Wales and the Workers Compensation Commission. Juli-May has extensive litigation experience in NSW and also has experience in other jurisdictions, including the ACT, Queensland and Victoria.
Juli-May regularly acts for defendants and cross-defendants, their insurers and various government agencies in the area of Dust Diseases litigation. Juli-May’s work has involved novel medical and legal matters and has required a detailed consideration of complex issues including insurance coverage, liability, causation, foreseeability, apportionment, contribution and recovery claims. Juli-May also has experience in a range of other insurance matters.
Juli-May has delivered internal and external presentations to assist clients and colleagues.
